For many college students Florida is the number one destination of choice for fun during spring break.

Key West is best known for its white-sand beaches and crystal clear water. First time visitors often fall in love immediately with the quaint but historic town. Given the clarity of the water the town is perfect for sports such as diving, snorkeling, and exploring the underwater coral reefs.

Miami Beach has become more famous as the years have passed. It is a place where colorful buildings line the streets and shopping is superb, encompassing the most well-known designer shops in Florida. With a variety of restaurants, you will be spoilt for choice in Miami. The beaches are great and of course the weather couldn’t be better this time of year.

Daytona is known world wide for the events that are hosted by the city, including the Daytona 500 and Bike week, however during Spring Break thousands of college students descend upon this town and make it their own. The great thing is that if there is a rainy day where the beach is a no-go you can always head to the Kennedy Space Center.

South Beach is another hot spot that has become just as popular as Miami Beach. Although the hotels on Collins Avenue are expensive, you can find affordable accommodations on Collins between 10th and 15th St.

Florida is an affordable destination for many cash-strapped college students. For the best deals it is advisable to book your trips early before “no vacancy” signs pop up.

With the wonderful Florida weather you won’t be spending much time indoors so don’t worry about finding a hotel with lots of facilities. Pack light, wear your swimming gear underneath your clothing so that when you arrive you are ready to hit the beach!
